2012 Millennium Technology Prize for Linus Torvalds and Shinya Yamanaka
Technology Academy Finland has declared laureates of the 2012 Millennium Technology Prize: Linus Torvalds for Linux and Shinya Yamanaka for work related to stem cells. The prize money pool exceeds 1 million euro.
