The big push on the importance of inclusive innovation in India is accelerated by the National Innovation Council. The council discusses, analyses and helps to implement inclusive innovation strategies in India. The summary of the first active year was published in a format of Report to the People 2011. The name of the report tells a lot about the Indian idea of inclusiveness in both creation and usage side of innovation cycle. People representing all income levels are needed in co-creation of products and services to solve today's and tomorrow's problems. These solutions must be affordable and accessible for everyone.
Different national scale initiatives are moving forward, some slow and some fast. Innovation ecosystem in India will be different when at least some of these actions have reached their goals in the coming years.
